Necaxa Triumphs Over Puebla in Round 19 Opener
Mexico City, April 19 (QNA) - Necaxa secured a 1-0 victory over Puebla in the opening match of round 19 of the Mexican Football League Saturday. Jose Paradela scored the winning goal for Necaxa in the 44th minute.
With this win, Necaxa, who had previously lost to Pachuca and drawn with Juarez in their last two matches, increased their tally to 31 points, temporarily advancing to fourth place until the remainder of the round is played.
Puebla, who has managed to earn only one point in their last nine league matches, remains in 17th place (second to last) with 9 points.
Round 19 continues Sunday, with five matches: Club America vs. Mazatlan, Juarez vs. Queretaro, Toluca vs. Cruz Azul, Tigres UANL vs. Pumas UNAM, and Atlas vs. Chivas.
The round will conclude on Monday with the following fixtures: Santos Laguna vs. Tijuana, Leon vs. Monterrey, and Atletico San Luis vs. Pachuca. (QNA)
