Qatar Wraps Participation in Gulf Beach Games with Seven Colored Medals, Receives 4th Edition Flag

Muscat, April 12 (QNA) - Qatar received the flag to host the fourth edition of the Gulf Beach Games, which will be held in Doha next year.

Director of the Qatari Administrative Delegation to the Gulf Beach Games, Abdullah Hassan Hashem received the flag at the end of the tournament, which was held in Muscat, from Apr. 5 to 11. More than 300 athletes from the six Gulf countries participated.

The third edition of the Gulf Games was held in Kuwait in 2022, where Qatar won 52 medals: 16 gold, 21 silver, and 15 bronze.

Team Qatar concluded their participation in the Gulf Beach Games "Muscat 2025" with seven colored medals, three gold medals won by beach volleyball duo Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan, and equestrian stars, Ali Hamad Al Athba and Rashid Fahad AlDosari.

Team Qatar also won a silver medal when Hamdi Ali came second in the high jump competition in athletics. The Team Qatar three bronze medals came in the sailing competition, won by Tamim Khaled Shams in the Optimist Junior Individual competition, and the other two medals were won in the peg teams competition, by Faisal Al Hajri, Rashid Al Dosari, Ali Al Athba, and Ibrahim Al Hammadi.

18 athletes represented Qatar in five sports: beach volleyball, athletics, sailing, open water swimming, and equestrian. (QNA)
