Doha, March 28 (QNA) - Al Khor maintained its hopes of staying in the first division with a 3-0 victory over Umm Salal in their match on Friday at Al Khor Stadium in the matchday 19 of the Ooredoo Stars League.

The goals came from Ricardo Gomes, who scored twice in the 45+2 and 90+1 minutes, and Sofiane Hanni, who netted in the 58th minute.

With the win, Al Khor increased its points total to 10, staying in last place but narrowing the gap with Umm Salal (second to last), who remains on 15 points, to just five points, with three rounds left in the competition.

This result keeps Al Khor's hopes of survival in the top tier alive.

According to the Qatar Football Association's regulations, the team finishing in last place will be relegated directly to the second division, while the 11th-place team will play a relegation match against the second-place team from the second division for a spot in the top tier. (QNA)
