Doha, March 15 (QNA) - The National Center for Cancer Care and Research (NCCCR) at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has become a leading destination for cancer treatment in the Gulf, attracting patients from across the region while continuing to provide world-class care to Qatar's local population. With advanced technology, personalized treatment plans, and a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, NCCCR continues to set the benchmark for oncology services.

Medical Director and CEO of NCCCR and Chair of Corporate Cancer Services at HMC, Dr. Mohamed Salem Al-Hassan highlighted the hospital's growing international reputation: "NCCCR is recognized across the region for its exceptional quality of care and innovative treatments. Patients come to us not only for access to cutting-edge therapies and state-of-the-art facilities but also because of our holistic, patient-centered approach. In 2024, we treated 508 international patients from the region. Our unique combination of expertise, advanced technology, and compassionate care has made us the preferred choice for many patients from the GCC and beyond." He added, "HMC is a leader in cancer care, offering treatment options that are often unavailable elsewhere in the region. From robotic-assisted surgery to precision medicine and breakthrough target hormone and immunotherapies, our capabilities ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. While we are honoured to welcome patients from neighbouring countries seeking specialized care, our foremost commitment remains to the people of Qatar, ensuring they receive the highest standard of cancer treatment without the need to travel abroad." NCCCR provides a full spectrum of cancer care, including Bone Marrow Transplants, cutting-edge Radiation Oncology using technologies like TrueBeam, ETHOS, and CyberKnife, and comprehensive genetic counseling to assess hereditary cancer risks. The center also prioritizes mental health, offering psychotherapy services to support patients throughout their treatment journey.

As a regional leader in oncology, NCCCR remains dedicated to advancing cancer care through innovation, research, and continuous improvements, ensuring that both Qatar's local population and international patients receive the highest standard of treatment available in the region. (QNA)
