Qatar Highlights Environmental and Wildlife Conservation Efforts at CITES Summit
Samarkand, December 04 (QNA) — Qatar showcased its environmental protection and wildlife conservation initiatives at the 20th CITES Conference of the Parties, currently underway in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change's delegation, led by Assistant Undersecretary for Protection and Natural Reserves, Dr. Ibrahim Abdul Latif Al Muslimani met with Mohammed bin Hamad Al Zaheri, Director General of the UAE's International Fund for Houbara Conservation, to review cooperation on houbara bustard breeding, release programs, and project management.
The delegation also held discussions with Andrei Kim, Vice-Chair of South Korea's forests and wildlife committee, exploring opportunities for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the development of wildlife conservation programs. (QNA)
