Gaza, December 05 (QNA) - Israeli occupation forces carried out heavy air and artillery bombardment across several areas of the Gaza Strip overnight and into the morning, in a renewed violation of the ceasefire agreement that entered into force on October 10.
The Palestinian news agency (WAFA) reported that Israeli helicopters opened intense fire inside the so-called "yellow line" in Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, while Israeli artillery shelled the northeastern areas of the city.
Israeli warplanes also carried out strikes on neighborhoods in Gaza City in the north, Rafah in the south, and the Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza, directly targeting homes and infrastructure.
At the same time, Israeli naval vessels opened fire off the coast of Khan Younis, further escalating tensions along the coastal enclave.
WAFA added that earlier on Thursday, Israeli occupation forces carried out a heavy and sustained bombardment on Rafah, alongside extensive demolition operations.
Since the ceasefire took effect on October 10, Israel has continued to violate the agreement on a near-daily basis, resulting in the deaths and injuries of dozens of Palestinians, amid growing international concern over the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip. (QNA)
