Doha, December 24 (QNA) - The Tasweer Photo Festival (Tasweer) has announced the closure of submissions for the second programme "Creativity and Mastery in Photography: Advanced Photography Course", scheduled to Thursday.

This 14-week intensive professional residency programme is organized in collaboration with the VII Foundation and the Qatar Photographic Society, serving as a regional benchmark, aiming to empower photographers to advance their practices from technical mastery to international standards of visual storytelling.

In addition, the programme offers an overarching approach that covers documentary photography, portraiture, architecture, and landscape photography, with a special focus on the art of visual storytelling and writing for images, as well as development of digital processing skills.

Participants benefit from the guidance of a world-class roster of photographers, including Gary Knight, Rena Effendi, Ziyah Gafic, and M'hammed Kilito.

The programme is poised to conclude with the production of a professional portfolio and holding an exhibition that showcases the artworks of those participants in May 2026, in collaboration with Al Housh Gallery.

As such, the festival is thrilled to extend its final call to all photographers aged 21 and above, residing in Qatar and the GCC states, to submit their applications before the deadline via the festival's official website: tasweer.org.qa. (QNA)
