Doha, December 24 (QNA) - Qatar's Al Ahli booked a place in the last 16 of the AFC Champions League 2 with a 2-0 home win over Uzbekistan's FC Andijon, finishing atop Group B.

Michel Vlap scored twice, in the 25th and 65th minutes, to give Al Ahli 10 points and confirm qualification in their first appearance in the competition.

The victory was also the first for new head coach Younes Ali, appointed last month.

Turkmenistan's Arkadag claimed the second qualifying spot, while Al Khaldiya of Bahrain and Andijon were eliminated. (QNA)
