At the beginning of the session, the Shura Council praised the great success achieved by the State of Qatar in hosting the FIFA Arab Cup 2025 tournament, which reflected the country's capabilities in organizing various events and activities.

The Council affirmed that Qatar, under the sound guidance of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, harnessed all its capabilities to host this sporting event, which witnessed great Arab interaction and a festive atmosphere that embodied the spirit of Arab brotherhood, solidarity, and unity.

The Shura Council also praised the great media and public interest that the tournament received, appreciating the integrated efforts of the tournament organizing committee with all local institutions and agencies that contributed to achieving this amazing organizational success.

Following this, HE Secretary-General of the Shura Council Nayef bin Mohammed Al Mahmoud read out the agenda and the Council approved the minutes of its previous session.

The Council reviewed a draft law amending some provisions of the Labour Law promulgated by Law No. 14 of 2004, and referred to it by the esteemed government. The Council decided to refer it to the Social Affairs, Labour and Housing Committee for study and to submit a report on it to the Council.

The Shura Council also reviewed the report of the Social Affairs, Labour and Housing Committee, which included its opinion in the esteemed government’s statement regarding the proposals made by the Shura Council on the conditions of persons with disabilities, and took the appropriate decision regarding it.
During the session, the Council also reviewed the statement of the esteemed government regarding the proposal willingly expressed by the Shura Council regarding supporting national and foreign investment, and decided to refer it to the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee for study and to provide its conclusions regarding it.

Meanwhile, the Council reviewed the report on the participation of HE Hamad bin Abdulla Al Mulla, member of the Arab Parliament, within a delegation from Parliament, in the official visit to the United Arab Emirates from Sept. 22-24.
