Doha, December 17 (QNA) - HE Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the State of Qatar Ammar bin Abdullah bin Sultan Albusaidi said that the Qatar National Day is a dear occasion that embodies unity, development, and loyalty to the founder, Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani, who laid the modern state's foundations.

Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA) on the occasion, His Excellency said that National Day reflects belonging and pride in the State of Qatar's successive achievements across various fields, noting that this occasion's celebrations attract wide participation from both citizens and residents alike, in appreciation of the country's comprehensive advancement, which has made Qatar a model to be emulated in development and national cohesion.

His Excellency pointed out that the State of Qatar pursues a foreign policy based on dialogue, diplomacy, and mediation, a wise approach that embodies the vision of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani in enhancing regional and international security and stability.

He highlighted that Doha has become an important hub for dialogue and the peaceful resolution of disputes, earning it global appreciation and respect, adding that the Sultanate of Oman values this positive role, which is consistent with its firm policy of supporting peace and mutual understanding among peoples.

HE the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Qatar expressed his appreciation for the tangible development he witnesses in Doha, noting that the State of Qatar has achieved significant progress in infrastructure, education, health, economy, sports, and culture, to the extent that it has become a regional capital hosting major global events.

In this regard, he said that the Qatar National Vision 2030 represents an ambitious roadmap for building a sustainable future that balances economic, social, and environmental dimensions, with the achievements realized in recent years reflecting the Qatari leadership's determination to excel and innovate.

Regarding bilateral ties, HE Ambassador Albusaidi affirmed that relations are firm and strategic, based on mutual respect and joint cooperation, adding that they witness continuous development in economic, investment, and cultural fields, in addition to political coordination on regional and Arab issues.

His Excellency expressed his country's aspiration to expand bilateral cooperation in a manner that serves the interests of the two brotherly peoples and strengthens the path of development and stability in both countries.

Concluding his statement to QNA, His Excellency extended his warmest congratulations and best wishes to HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and to the brotherly Qatari people on the occasion of the National Day, wishing the State of Qatar continued progress and prosperity, and Omani-Qatari relations further growth and advancement.
