Doha, December 15 (QNA) - HE Ambassador of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria to the State of Qatar Salah Attia affirmed that the National Day of the State of Qatar represents an exceptional national occasion in which the Qatari people and residents on its land recall the journey of the Founder Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani, and what it embodied in terms of values ​​of cohesion and unity under the leadership of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.

In statements to Qatar News Agency (QNA), His Excellency said that the National Day has become a symbol of the unity of Qatari society, noting that the participation of residents, including the Algerian community, in major national celebrations reflects the open and tolerant environment that characterizes the State of Qatar.

He added that the State of Qatar adopts a dynamic foreign policy based on dialogue, mediation, peaceful solutions and respect for international law, which has earned it a prestigious position and broad international respect. He indicated that this approach intersects with the orientations of Algerian foreign policy under the leadership of HE President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, which focuses on supporting political solutions and promoting international peace and security.

HE the Ambassador also praised the renaissance that the State of Qatar is witnessing in various sectors, most notably the advanced infrastructure that stood out globally during the organization of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, as well as the Doha Metro, modern roads and sports facilities, in addition to the remarkable development in the energy sector, knowledge economy projects and digital transformation, and the great progress in the fields of health and education.

On Algerian-Qatari relations, His Excellency affirmed that the strong fraternal relations between the two countries are growing, noting the expansion of Qatari investments in Algeria, particularly in the agriculture, industry and services sectors, in addition to cooperation in the fields of energy and petrochemicals, the growth of trade exchanges, and political and diplomatic coordination in international forums.

Prospects for cooperation between the two countries are poised for further growth, encompassing sectors such as food security, maritime and air transport, technology, and higher education, thanks to the shared political will to strengthen the strategic partnership, he added.

At the end of his remarks to QNA, HE Ambassador of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria to the State of Qatar expressed his deep appreciation for the strong fraternal relations between Algeria and Qatar, emphasizing his country's keenness to elevate bilateral relations to higher levels and strengthening joint cooperation in different fields.
