Justice Minister Holds Bilateral Talks on Legal Cooperation During UN Anti-Corruption Conference
Doha, December 15 (QNA) - HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi has held separate bilateral meetings, on the sidelines of the Conference of the States Parties to the UN Convention against Corruption currently taking place in Doha.
His Excellency met with HE Carlo Nordio, Minister of Justice of the Italian Republic; HE Guillaume Ngefa Atondoko, Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals of the Democratic Republic of the Congo; and HE Anil Nandlall, Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana.
The discussions focused on enhancing and developing legal cooperation between Qatar and the respective countries, as well as reviewing several agenda items of the conference.
In particular, the talks addressed a memorandum of understanding on legal cooperation between Qatar's Ministry of Justice and that of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, opening new avenues for collaboration between the two nations in the legal and judicial fields. (QNA)
