20 Dead, Dozens Missing in Flooding of Pirai River, Eastern Bolivia
La Paz, December 15 (QNA) – Bolivian authorities announced Monday that 20 people have died and more than 2,000 families have been displaced by flooding of the Pirai River in the east of the country.
Alfredo Trujillo, Deputy Minister of Civil Defense in Bolivia, stated that official figures indicate 20 deaths and dozens missing due to heavy rains that primarily affected the towns of El Torno and La Guardia. (QNA)
