Doha, December 01 (QNA) - The Ministry of Education and Higher Education will hold the first Forum on Special Education and Inclusive Education on December 3-4, under the theme "Empowerment and Inclusion: Toward a Better Future for Persons with Disabilities

" The forum aims to enhance the quality of inclusive education for students with disabilities.

The event will serve as a specialized educational platform bringing together experts and specialists from various institutions to promote community and educational awareness, and to exchange best practices in assessment, educational intervention, and academic, behavioral, and psychological support.

The forum also seeks to highlight the latest developments in Qatar's national policy for student inclusion, in addition to showcasing the newest research and studies in the fields of special education and inclusive education.

It further aims to strengthen partnerships among educational, community, medical, and social institutions, contributing to integrated and comprehensive services for students with disabilities.

The program includes specialized sessions to build the skills of educational staff, introduce the role of artificial intelligence and modern technologies in supporting student learning and empowerment, and present field experiences and inspiring success stories of students, their families, and their teachers.

Key topics of the forum include: legislation supporting inclusive education; recent developments in integrating students with disabilities; promoting a culture of inclusion; raising awareness of students’ rights; and reviewing the latest research and contemporary educational trends in detection, intervention, and rehabilitation.

A specialized exhibition will also be held on the sidelines of the forum, featuring participation from government entities, educational institutions, and community initiatives showcasing tools, services, and innovations designed to support students with disabilities and their families.

This forum underscores the Ministry of Education and Higher Education’s commitment to enhancing the quality of inclusive education and advancing services for special education and inclusive learning, in line with the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030 to build a cohesive, educated, and inclusive society for all.
