Doha, November 08 (QNA) - Al Gharafa SC, leaders of QNB Stars League, announced that Spanish forward Joselu will be sidelined for at least six weeks due to injury.
The club stated on its official website that medical examinations confirmed Joselu sustained a hamstring injury, requiring a recovery period of 6 to 8 weeks.
Joselu had to leave Al Gharafa's latest match against Qatar SC, held yesterday (Friday), for the postponed seventh round of QNB Stars League, at the 66th minute due to injury. His departure did not prevent the team from securing a 2-1 victory, allowing them to maintain the top spot with a four-point lead over closest rival Al Shamal, who have 18 points.
Joselu joined Al Gharafa in the summer of 2024 from Real Madrid. Since then, he played 47 matches across all competitions, scoring 25 goals and providing three assists. He also helped Al Gharafa win the 2025 Amir Cup, defeating Al Rayyan 2-1 in the final. (QNA)
