Doha, November 24 (QNA) - The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) organized two high-level panel discussions on Day 1 of the 12th edition of the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE).

The discussions addressed the future of education amid technological transformations, the role of the Arabic language in the age of artificial intelligence, and aligning curricula with labor market needs while preserving values and identity.

Holding the two panels came as part of MOEHE's participation as a WISE 12 strategic partner and within the Ministry's efforts to promote educational dialogue and explore innovative tools that respond to economic and technological shifts, while emphasizing the human and value-based dimensions of education.

The events witnessed wide participation from academics, experts, school leaders, teachers, students, and those interested in educational affairs.

The first panel, titled "Realizing Progressive Education Through Innovation in Learning: Arabic Language in the Age of Artificial Intelligence," discussed artificial intelligence governance in education, the localization of modern technologies to serve Arab contexts, and the preservation of societal values.

It also addressed enhancing critical thinking and value-based responsibility among learners, in addition to the role of artificial intelligence in improving Arabic language education and designing flexible curricula that support creativity and cultural belonging.

The second panel, titled "Bridging Academia and the Market: Linking Education

to Societal Values Without Losing Its Core Values," examined the role of educational policies in balancing labor market requirements with value-based considerations.

It reviewed successful experiences in aligning curricula and academic programs with community needs, including life skills, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

The session also discussed the role of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) in defining the skills, competencies, and values required at each educational level to support learner readiness and enhance the competitiveness of the national economy.

Through organizing two panel discussions on Day 1 of WISE 12, MOEHE reaffirmed its commitment to building a balanced educational ecosystem that integrates innovation, skill, and values, and contributes to preparing learners capable of supporting national development, in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030.
