Doha, November 23 (QNA) - The book Qatar and Environmental Sustainability: A Green Vision for a Prosperous Future is set to be formally launched on Dec. 1, 2025, the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MECC) has revealed.

The MECC-organized conference ahead of releasing this book highlighted the role played by state institutions in supporting both environmental and climate action, with particular emphasis on the importance of forging national partnerships to showcase the advanced Qatari experience in clean energy, resource management, biodiversity protection, and the development of sustainable cities and communities, in alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030 and the nation's Strategy for Environment and Climate Change 2024-2030.

The move is a product of the ministry's efforts to document environmental and climate milestones, transfer national expertise, and present a practical model to achieve a balance between economic growth and environmental protection.

The book showcases expanded chapters on national strategies, environmental governance, water management projects, energy resource diversification efforts, wildlife protection programs, as well as initiatives intended to reduce emissions and bolster the circular economy.

It shines a spotlight on the role of public and private sector institutions in safeguarding the environment and realizing Qatar National Vision 2030 through documenting the nation's trailblazing environmental initiatives, outlined Director of MECC's Green Development and Environmental Sustainability, Eng. Abdullah Jumaa Al Muraikhi.

Al Muraikhi further noted that the inauguration ceremony will feature three professional panel discussions on sustainable transportation, the green real estate sector, and the role of banks in supporting the green economy.

A panel of experts is set to participate, alongside national speakers, to delve into the issues that chart the future of environmental action in Qatar. (QNA)
