Qatar Wins Three Medals at Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh
Riyadh, November 21 (QNA) - Qatar secured three medals on the final day of the Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh, adding to its overall tally.
The medals came from fencing, handball, and athletics. The men's fencing team -Khalid AlYafei, Adham Al Deeb, and Abdullah Khalifa - claimed silver in the team foil after a narrow 43-45 loss to Uzbekistan. The men's handball team earned bronze with a 36-28 win over the UAE, while runner Abubakr Haidar took bronze in the 800m with a time of 1:46.26.
The Qatari contingent now has 11 medals overall: 3 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze, across 16 sports including athletics, handball, fencing, and camel racing. (QNA)
