Preparations in Full Swing ahead of F1 Qatar Grand Prix
Doha, November 21 (QNA) - Preparations are in full swing to host the Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix Formula 1 race, scheduled to take place from Nov. 28 to 30.
Lusail International Circuit announced today, Thursday, that a series of art installations will be displayed across Doha in preparation for the Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix Formula 1. Ten giant Formula 1 helmet sculptures, created by eight leading contemporary Qatari artists, will be showcased as part of the initiative.
These 1.8-meter-tall art pieces will be placed in various locations, each offering a unique artistic vision celebrating Qatari identity, heritage, and creativity through the lens of motorsport, speed, and precision.
Marketing Director at Lusail International Circuit Fatima Al Qaidi said that the exhibition will spread across Doha as a tribute to the creativity of Qatari artists.
She added that eight Qatari artists transformed the helmet, symbol of safety and leadership in Formula 1, into a canvas expressing stories of the nation, ranging from pearl diving to falconry, and from Islamic ornamentation to tribal camel markings. She emphasized that each piece reflects how Qatar seamlessly moves between its deep-rooted heritage and its high-speed innovation.
The Marketing Director urged fans to follow the trail of helmet locations and explore Formula 1 through the eyes of Qatar’s artists. She also encouraged spectators to secure their tickets to enjoy the race events, which include the opening ceremony and a performance by international artist Seal on Nov. 29. Nov. 30, the Formula 1 Sprint Race will take place, along with Formula 2 sessions and races, and the Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East events, culminating in a show by Algerian star Cheb Khaled.
The main event, the Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix Formula 1 2025, will be held on Nov. 30 and will consist of 57 laps. (QNA)
