Doha, November 21 (QNA) - The Cultural Village Foundation, Katara, has launched the Katara Children's Festival in celebration of World Children's Day, reaffirming its commitment to supporting childhood development and fostering creativity and discovery through a diverse program blending entertainment and education.

The festival runs until Nov. 22, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Katara Corniche and the Al Thuraya Planetarium.

The festival features a wide array of interactive activities and workshops aimed at nurturing imagination and enhancing children's artistic and cultural skills.

Highlights include story-writing workshops, flowerpot decorating, rock and face painting, traditional bracelet making, heritage dress decoration, and crafting hair accessories.

Other offerings include Arabic calligraphy workshops, theater and poetry sessions for children, and storytelling segments by Salma Al Aleemi.

The Katara Corniche also hosts engaging educational shows by the Qatar Astronomy Club under Al Thuraya Planetarium.

Katara's Drama Theatre presents "Great Adventure of the Little Teddy," an educational experience combining fun and animal awareness. Meanwhile, the Creativity Square showcases a special exhibition of children's artistic talents, featuring contributions from Katara's young creatives, alongside other engaging activities.

The Foundation emphasized that this rich and diverse program reflects its dedication to providing a vibrant cultural environment for children and reinforces its pioneering role in organizing events that cater to childhood needs, offering opportunities for learning and exploration in a setting that merges fun with knowledge, underscoring its mission to build a creative and culturally engaged society.
