Israeli Air Assault on Sidon, Southern Lebanon, Leaves 13 Dead
Beirut, November 18 (QNA) - The Israeli entity launched an air offensive on Tuesday on the Ain Al Hilweh refugee camp in the city of Sidon in southern Lebanon, killing 13 people and wounding 4 others, the Lebanese Ministry of Health reported in a statement.
On Nov. 27, a ceasefire deal in southern Lebanon entered into force, under which the Israeli forces should have pulled out from border villages and towns in southern Lebanon within a 60-day deadline.
Thereafter, Lebanon's government agreed to extend the deadline until Feb. 18. However, the occupation army remained in five positions and still continues its violations there, which have exceeded 7,000 air intrusions and over 2,400 military activities in UNIFIL-run operation areas in the south since last November.
