Tensions Rise as Israeli Colonists Storm Al-Aqsa Mosque Compound
Occupied Jerusalem, November 18 (QNA) - Dozens of Israeli colonists stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound on Tuesday, under the protection of Israeli security forces, according to the Islamic Waqf, the Jordan-run authority overseeing the site.
The Waqf said the groups entered through the Moroccan Gate and carried out provocative tours across the site. They also received religious briefings about the alleged Temple Mount.
Some were seen performing Jewish rituals in the eastern area of the site, which is considered the third holiest place in Islam.
Palestinian worshippers reported heightened restrictions at the entrances to the compound, with Israeli police barring many residents of occupied East Jerusalem from accessing the mosque. (QNA)
