Kyiv, November 14 (QNA) - Eight people were killed in a major Russian attack targeting various parts of Ukraine today.

Ukrainian officials said that Russian forces launched a large-scale attack using drones and missiles, targeting energy facilities, residential buildings, and infrastructure. The attack resulted in the deaths of six people in the capital, Kyiv, and two others in the south.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy revealed that Russian forces used 430 drones and 18 missiles in the attack, making it one of the largest attacks on the capital to date.

Local sources confirmed that most of the drones and missiles were shot down, but their debris caused fires that damaged apartments in high-rise buildings, a school, a medical facility, and administrative buildings in nine districts of Kyiv, a city with a population of approximately three million.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy reported partial power outages in central Kyiv and in the southern Odessa and eastern Donetsk regions.

It should be noted that news coming from Ukraine and Russia are conflicting regarding the field data of the war, given the complex nature of the battles that have been ongoing since February 2022. (QNA)
