European Stocks Close at Record Highs
Brussels, November 11 (QNA) - European stock indexes closed at record highs on Tuesday, driven by strong performance in the healthcare sector.
The pan-European Stoxx 600 index rose 1.3 percent to finish at a record 580.13 points, after hitting its highest intraday level earlier in the session.
Germany's DAX index gained 0.5 percent to close at 24,096.25 points, while France's CAC 40 climbed 1.2 percent to end the day at 8,156.23 points.
Britain's FTSE 100 also closed at a record high, buoyed by investor optimism over a potential interest rate cut by the Bank of England in December.
The rally follows Monday's session, when European stocks posted their largest single-day gain in six months. (QNA)
