Doha, October 29 (QNA) - The Local Organizing Committee of the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025 has announced that Qatar is fully prepared to host the tournament, which will kick off on November 3 and continue until November 27.
Director of Transportation and Mobility at the Local Organizing Committee Eng. Abdulaziz Fakhroo confirmed Qatar's full readiness to host the event, the first of five consecutive editions the country will organize through 2029, welcoming fans from across the region and around the world.
Speaking at a press conference held today at the conference hall of Al Aziziyah Boutique Hotel in Aspire Zone, Fakhroo said that Qatar is fully ready to welcome the world's best 48 youth national teams with world-class facilities, advanced infrastructure, and high-level preparations to deliver a unique hosting experience for both players and fans alike.
He added that the country has hosted numerous major events, most notably the spectacular edition of the FIFA World Cup, proving unparalleled efficiency in organizing a historic event that laid the foundation for a lasting legacy.
Hosting the FIFA U-17 World Cup, he noted, extends this rich sporting legacy and reaffirms Qatar's position as the global capital of sports.
Fakhroo revealed that the Aspire competition complex is ready to host the global matches, with all transport and mobility plans in place.
He noted that parking facilities with a capacity of 3,900 vehicles have been designated, while the Doha Metro will serve as the primary and most convenient mode of transport for fans.
He emphasized that Qatar's modern public transportation network ensures fans an experience marked by comfort and easy access from the moment they arrive in the country. The current road infrastructure and Doha Metro network guarantee smooth transportation to the tournament venue and to many of the country's key landmarks and attractions for both fans and teams.
The Director of Transportation and Mobility at the Local Organizing Committee pointed out that the expertise gained from hosting previous tournaments has been utilized to enhance the organization of any future sporting events in Qatar.
Fakhroo concluded by noting that hosting all matches for the first time within one location at Aspire Zone represents a new experience, adding that a simple opening ceremony will precede the Qatar vs. Italy match, scheduled to take place at Pitch No. 7 in Aspire.

Senior Director of Facilities Management at the Local Organizing Committee Eng. Jassim Al Obaidli affirmed the full readiness to host the largest-ever edition of the tournament, featuring 48 national teams and high-quality facilities.
He promised everyone an exceptional edition, taking pride in having world-class infrastructure that meets FIFA standards, adding that hosting the tournament within a single venue is indeed a major challenge for them.
Al Obaidli pointed out that Qatar has become one of the leading nations in hosting major sporting events, noting that this edition marks the first of five consecutive tournaments to be held in Doha over the coming years.
Meanwhile, Senior Director of Marketing Operations at the Local Organizing Committee Ahmed Al Ahmad Al Meghessib explained that the "Road to Qatar" ticketing application serves as a key tool for fans attending the FIFA U-17 World Cup, offering a comprehensive digital experience that allows fans to easily access their tickets.
He added that fans wishing to transfer their tickets to friends or family can do so conveniently through the app.
The tickets include designated seating options for fans with disabilities, along with special parking permits to facilitate access to the stadiums.
Each person can purchase up to six tickets per day, and special "Support Your Team" tickets are available for fans wishing to attend the Qatari U-17 national team's group stage matches. Tickets for the final match are available in two categories, starting from QR 15.
The "Road to Qatar" application also serves as a unified ticketing platform for major sporting events hosted by Qatar this year, including the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 and the FIFA Club Confederations Cup 2025, providing fans with a seamless experience to attend multiple tournaments through a single application.
Al Meghessib noted that the Fan Zone will include promotional activities, a children's stage, side events, and food pavilions, emphasizing that the goal is to make the tournament a true football festival.
In a related context, Director of Local and Regional Media at the Local Organizing Committee Mohammed Al Khanji said that the official media accreditation platform has witnessed strong interest, receiving around 1,000 applications to cover the global event.
He added that the large media turnout reflects the tremendous enthusiasm surrounding the tournament. Significant efforts are being made to equip a dedicated media center and a press conference room to ensure a distinguished media coverage experience.
The tournament will feature a total of 104 matches held across eight pitches within the Aspire Zone competition complex, while the final will take place on November 27 at Khalifa International Stadium, one of the iconic FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 venues.
Hosting all matches in one area will make it easier for fans to move between games and will help maintain a festive atmosphere throughout the tournament.
Tickets for the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025 are available in various daily categories starting from QR 20, allowing fans to attend multiple matches per day while enjoying a range of cultural and entertainment activities at the Fan Zone.
The draw placed the Qatari U-17 national team, the host nation's representative, in Group A alongside Italy, South Africa, and Bolivia. Qatar will kick off its campaign against Italy on November 3, aiming to surpass its previous best performance when it finished fourth in the 1991 edition of the tournament. (QNA)
