Qatar Basketball League: Al Arabi Tops Al Sadd, Al Shamal Edges Al Gharafa

Doha, October 26 (QNA) - Al Arabi and Al Shamal secured valuable wins over Al Sadd and Al Gharafa, respectively, in the second round of the 2025–2026 Qatar Basketball League season.

In the opening match, defending champions Al Arabi cruised past Al Sadd with a 103–84 victory at Al Gharafa SC Arena. The quarter scores were (18–22, 23–21, 23–23, 39–18), with Al Arabi dominating the final period.

Bahraini international Mustafa Hussain was named Player of the Match after scoring 30 points, grabbing seven rebounds, and dishing out six assists. Deng Deng Adel led Al Sadd with 23 points.

In the second game, Al Shamal continued its strong form with a hard-fought 124–116 win over Al Gharafa after two overtime periods. The teams were tied 91–91 at the end of regulation, with quarter scores of (16–27, 18–23, 30–26, 27–15). Al Shamal pulled ahead in overtime with scores of (33–25).

Terry Quanell Crump earned Player of the Match honors for Al Shamal, posting 45 points, four rebounds, and seven assists. Joshua Caron Lee led Al Gharafa with 26 points.

The round began Thursday with Al Wakrah defeating Qatar 80–75. It will conclude on Monday with a matchup between Al Rayyan and Al Ahli. Al Khor had a bye this round. (QNA)
