Gaza, October 25 (QNA) - The death toll from the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 68,519 martyrs, in addition to 170,382 injured.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that hospitals in the Strip received the bodies of 19 martyrs over the past 48 hours, four killed in direct Israeli occupation attacks and 15 whose bodies were recovered, along with seven injuries.

The ministry added that since the ceasefire took effect earlier this month, 93 Palestinians have been martyred and 324 others injured, while the bodies of 464 martyrs have been recovered. It further noted that 220 martyrs have been added to the cumulative death toll after their data was verified and approved by the judicial committee responsible for tracking reports and missing persons.

Moreover, the ministry confirmed that 64 bodies have so far been identified out of 195 bodies handed over by the Israeli occupation authorities as part of a prisoner exchange deal.

A ceasefire agreement between the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and the Israeli occupation was reached in the Egyptian city of Sharm El-Sheikh and came into effect on October 10. (QNA)
