Qatar Charity Announces Distribution of New Aid Batch to Mitigate Suffering of Gazans
Doha, October 13 (QNA) - Qatar Charity (QC) announced the distribution of a new batch of aid in the Gaza Strip, including food, potable water, and education support, aiming to alleviate the humanitarian suffering of the population due to the blockade and the effects of the war over more than two years.
The aid includes approximately 4,700 food parcels under the "Goodness Parcels" projects, in the context of food insecurity and looming famine in Gaza, with each parcel containing essential food staples, QC reported in a statement on Monday.
It also involves the distribution of 2.4 million liters of potable water as part of the "Life in Every Drop" project, in addition to daily meals through the "Meal of Hope" initiative, bringing the total number of targeted meals to 47,100 since last September.
The aid also includes the implementation of the "Back to Class" project, coinciding with the start of the current academic year, through which around 4,500 school bags are being distributed and 60 classrooms are being rehabilitated, aiming to provide students with necessary supplies and a suitable learning environment.
