Beijing, October 11 (QNA) - China successfully launched on Saturday the Gravity-1 rocket, also dubbed as YL-1, into space from waters off the coast of Haiyang, Shandong Province, in eastern China.

   The Gravity-1 lifted off at 10:20 a.m. Beijing time, carrying three satellites to their designated orbits. The mission was executed by the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center, marking a significant achievement in China's maritime launch capabilities, Xinhua News Agency reported.

Onboard the rocket were one wide-field satellite and two experimental satellites, highlighting China's continued expansion in both observational and experimental space technologies.

Gravity-1 carrier rocket conducted its maiden flight in January 2024, demonstrating the rapid advancement and operationalization of China's commercial and strategic space assets. (QNA)
