Al Rayyan, Al Arabi Continue Winning Streaks in Arab Clubs Basketball Championship

Dubai, October 01 (QNA) - Al Rayyan and Al Arabi continued their strong performances in the 37th edition of the Arab Clubs Basketball Championship, currently being held in the UAE, securing their third consecutive victories in the group stage.

In the first match, Al Rayyan defeated Oman's Al Bashair 88-79 in the final group-stage game of Group D. The four quarters ended with scores of (25-10, 23-8, 22-34, 18-27) in favor of Al Rayyan.

With this win, Al Rayyan solidified its position at the top of Group D, while Al Bashair suffered their third loss and finished in fourth place, behind Lebanon's Al Hikma (second) and Syria's Al Wahda (third).

In the second match, Al Arabi achieved a well-deserved 88-75 victory over Kuwait's Kazma in the third and final round of Group C. The game's four quarters ended with scores of (20-16, 21-19, 26-23, 21-17) in favor of Al Arabi.

This third consecutive win allowed Al Arabi to top Group C, while Kazma suffered their first loss, finishing in second place ahead of Oman's Al Seeb and Yemen's Al Mina'a.

According to the tournament's format, which consists of four groups, teams will proceed to the knockout stage based on their group rankings. Al Rayyan, as the leader of Group D, will face Al Mina'a from Yemen, who finished fourth in Group C. Meanwhile, Al Arabi, top of Group C, will meet Al Bashair from Oman, who ended fourth in Group D.
