Manama, November 06 (QNA) - Al Arabi will face Al Manama of Bahrain on Thursday, in the second round of Group Two of the Arabian Gulf region in the Asian Basketball Super League Championship for Clubs.

Al Arabi seeks to achieve its first victory in the championship and hold on to the hope of competing and making up for the loss it suffered in the first round against Al-Ittihad of Jeddah of Saudi Arabia.

On the other hand, Al-Manama of Bahrain is looking forward to achieving the same goal, which is to win and make up for its loss in the previous round against Al-Qadisiyah of Kuwait.

The draw placed Al-Arabi in a group that includes Al-Ittihad of Jeddah of Saudi Arabia, Al Qadisiyah of Kuwait, and Al-Manama of Bahrain.

According to the tournament system, the leader of each group in the two groups in the Gulf region qualifies directly to the semi-finals, while the second and third place holders from each group must play three play-off matches, where the winner of two matches out of three qualifies to the semi-finals.

Three qualified teams from the Gulf region will compete in the Final 8 with three teams from West Asia, and two teams from South and Central Asia, completing the list of eight contenders for the title. (QNA)
