Doha, May 25 (QNA) - Al Sadd SC has announced the contract renewal of first-team football player Akram Afif, though the club did not disclose the duration of the new deal.

In a statement published on its official website, the club confirmed that Afif will continue with the team in the coming period.

Afif expressed his happiness over the extension and reaffirmed his strong desire to keep delivering top performances and help the team achieve further success.

Afif has been one of the standout players for both Al Sadd and the Qatari national team in recent years. His impressive performances have contributed to multiple titles for club and country. He was named Asian Footballer of the Year twice, in 2019 and 2023.

This season, Afif played a key role in leading Al Sadd to the Qatari league title as well as winning the Qatar Cup. (QNA)
