Doha, June 09 (QNA) - HE Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al-Thani inaugurated Tuesday the 22nd edition of Project Qatar 2026, held at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center.

Following the inauguration, His Excellency toured the exhibition pavilions, where he was briefed on the latest products, technologies and innovative solutions in the fields of building, construction and infrastructure, which are being showcased by the participating local and international companies and institutions.

His Excellency commended the exhibition for providing a platform that brings together investors, companies and entrepreneurs, which contributes to strengthening partnerships, exchanging experiences and exploring investment opportunities, and supports the growth of various economic activities, in line with the state's directions toward economic diversification and achieving the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.

The 22nd edition of Project Qatar 2026 witnessed broad participation from local and international companies, government agencies, and leaders in the industrial and construction sectors.

The exhibition is held under the theme "Manufacture, Build, Innovate," in a clear reflection of the transformations taking place in the construction, manufacturing and infrastructure sector in the State of Qatar, and to promote integration between industry, technology and smart building solutions, in support of the goals of sustainable development and Qatar National Vision 2030.

This year's edition brings together 145 exhibitors, including 120 local companies and 25 international firms representing a broad range of sectors related to construction, building materials, industrial technologies, energy, engineering services, smart city solutions, and sustainable infrastructure.

This strong turnout underscores growing confidence in the Qatari market and its continued appeal for high-value investments and partnerships.

Running from June 9-11, 2026 under the theme 'Manufacture, Build, Innovate', the exhibition reflects the ongoing transformation of Qatar's construction, manufacturing, and infrastructure sectors. It also aims to strengthen integration between industry, technology, and smart building solutions, supporting sustainable development goals and the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.

Technical Office director at Public Works Authority "Ashghal" Eng. Khalid Al Najjar said: "Ashghal's participation as Strategic Partner reflects its leading role in shaping the development landscape and advancing infrastructure projects.

The exhibition serves as an ideal platform to showcase our innovative solutions and digital applications in managing critical projects, underscoring our commitment to enhancing operational efficiency and applying the highest global sustainability standards.

Project Qatar also provides a valuable opportunity to open direct channels of cooperation with key private sector stakeholders, including contractors and suppliers, to exchange expertise that will help shape the future of sustainable construction in Qatar."

For his part, Acting General Manager of Qatar Chamber Ali Bu Sherbak Al Mansouri said: "The chamber's participation as Business Community Partner reflects our strategic commitment to empowering the Qatari private sector and expanding its contribution to major economic events.

Project Qatar is one of the leading exhibitions in the construction sector, providing an ideal environment for forging cross-border business partnerships and establishing direct communication channels between local and international companies.

It also serves as a vital platform for knowledge transfer and the localization of the latest innovations and technologies."

In turn, Commercial and Operations Director at IFP Qatar Hayat Bayan said: "The launch of this year's edition amid ongoing regional developments reflects the resilience of the Qatari economy and its ability to navigate challenges, while reaffirming the pivotal role of the construction sector as a key driver of economic development in the country.

The participation of 25 international companies stands as a testament to global confidence in the growth potential of Qatar's construction market, underscoring the conviction among international players that the sector offers genuine and sustainable opportunities.

This international presence also highlights the expanding scope of economic partnerships and Qatar’s success in strengthening its position as a regional hub for investment." (QNA)
