Doha, May 04 (QNA) - Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) has launched Adahi Project for 1447 AH under the slogan “Make Their Eid,” a seasonal initiative aimed at facilitating the performance of the ritual sacrifice by enabling donors to book Sharia-compliant livestock, including sheep, cattle, and goats, under the organization’s supervision.

In a statement issued on Sunday, QRCS said it will oversee the delivery of donated sacrificial meat to eligible beneficiaries inside Qatar and abroad, in accordance with applicable hygiene and humanitarian standards.

The organization added that the project falls within its “Keep Your Balance of Good Deeds Alive” campaign, launched during the holy month of Ramadan, noting that it aims to distribute slaughtered and canned Adahi meat as food assistance to more than 250,000 people in 17 countries worldwide.

Managing Director and Secretary-General of QRCS, Ebrahim bin Hashim AlSada, said the organization is launching the annual Adahi project for the tenth consecutive year to ease the process for individuals wishing to perform the ritual. He noted that donors can complete the process through a few simple steps by selecting the country, specifying the type of sacrifice, and making the payment with ease.

He added that QRCS specialists coordinate all necessary arrangements with partners and relevant authorities to carry out slaughtering, preparation, and distribution to displaced persons, refugees, and those in need, enabling donors to combine the spiritual reward of the sacrifice with the humanitarian benefit of supporting vulnerable communities.

The statement noted that the project consists of two components: one inside Qatar targeting families registered under social assistance lists, and another targeting beneficiaries outside the country. (QNA)
