Makkah Al Mukarramah, May 24 (QNA) - Pilgrims from the State of Qatar will start flocking to Mina to spend the Day of Tarwiyah and spend the night there on Monday, as part of their approved campaigns under the umbrella of the Qatari Hajj Mission.

Pilgrims perform these rituals according to the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him), ahead of standing at Mount Arafat on the following day, where they will perform the greatest pillar of the pilgrimage rites.

This flocking is part of an accurate plan previously prepared by the mission to ensure a seamless flocking to Mina at a high level of organization that observes elements of safety and comfort and offers a conducive atmosphere to perform rites in an atmosphere where tranquility prevails.

Since the beginning of the month of Dhul-Hijjah, the mission has been finalizing all organizational and technical arrangements pertaining to pilgrims' transfer to the Holy Sites, whose tents in Mina have been equipped based on the highest approved specifications to ensure the provision of a wide diversity of fundamental logistical services that meet their needs while they stay there.

The preparations are part of a combined work system in unison with various supportive units in coordination with the relevant authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to ensure the success of the flocking and regulate pilgrims' movement since the early flocking to the Holy Sites, the mission said.

In this context, the tremendous efforts of the competent authorities in the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are reflected through the provision of transportation networks, trains operating to the Sites, flocking routes, as well as advanced security and organizational plans.

This constant collaboration and coordination between the Qatari Mission and the Saudi authorities help facilitate the smooth flocking of pilgrims, in addition to having a secure environment in place to help them perform rituals in an expeditious manner.

This interoperable system underscores the care for pilgrims from around the globe, which the Kingdom considers an overriding priority.

After spending the night in Mina, the pilgrims of Qatar are set to flock to Holy Mount Arafat on Tuesday, 9th of Dhul-Hijjah, to perform the greatest pillar of pilgrimage, with the remaining pilgrims of Qatar moving directly from their residences in Makkah Al Mukarramah to Arafat.

As sunset falls on the Day of Arafat, pilgrims depart with the rest of the pilgrims for Muzdalifah, where they pray Maghrib and Isha combined and shortened, collect pebbles for the stoning ritual, before heading to Mina to perform the stoning of Jamrat Al-Aqaba Al-Kubra, perform Tawaf Al-Ifadah "circumambulation", and complete the remaining rites of Hajj.

As such, the Qatari Mission continues to provide services through a combined system of service, technical, as well as supportive logistical and technical units which operate 24/7 to escort pilgrims while they commute between the Holy Sites and provide healthcare, religious guidance, and on-site support.

Units of communication, support, medical services, surveillance, and inspection are undertaking pivotal roles in checking on the conditions of Qatar’s pilgrims throughout their pilgrimage journey.

These combined efforts are part of the strategic plan of Qatar’s Ministry of Endowments 2025-2030, which gives Hajj overriding priority through advancing the service system provided to pilgrims, as well as fostering integration in terms of organizational, health, and guidance aspects.

These preparations likewise demonstrate the State of Qatar’s commitment to having a quintessential pilgrimage model in place that is based on the highest levels of quality and efficiency.

In addition, this model conspicuously ensures the performance of rites in a secure and expedited environment, epitomizing the nation’s commitment to serving the pilgrims of the State of Qatar in accordance with top-notch global practices. (QNA)
