HH the Amir Holds Joint Call with Regional and International Leaders
Doha, May 24 (QNA) - HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thaniآ held a joint telephone call with HE President of the United States Donald Trump, HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain, HM King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, HH President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, HE President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, HE President of the Republic of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and HE Chief of Army Staff of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Gen. Syed Asim Munir.
During the call, they discussed current developments in a number of regional and international issues in light of the escalating security and political challenges facing the region. They also exchanged views on ways to contain tensions and prevent their expansion in a manner that could threaten the security and stability of the region.
Their Majesties, Highnesses and Excellencies also expressed their thanks and appreciation to HE US President for coordinating and consulting among all concerned parties in order to preserve regional and international peace and security. At the same time, they commended the diplomatic efforts being undertaken by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
HH the Amir emphasized during the call the importance of intensifying consultation and coordination among the relevant countries regarding various developments in a way that contributes to enhancing regional and international stability. His Highness also stressed that reaching diplomatic solutions represents the best way to address crises and spare the region the consequences of escalation and its impact on regional peace and security.
