NCSA Concludes 2025 Summer Cybersecurity Youth Camp with Closing Ceremony
Doha, August 7 (QNA) - The National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) today held the closing ceremony for the 2025 Summer Cybersecurity Youth Camp. The event was attended by HE President of the National Cyber Security Agency, Eng. Abdulrahman bin Ali Al Farahid Al Maliki alongside the Agency's partners, a number of cybersecurity experts, and participating students.
The camp, hosted at Qatar Science and Technology Secondary School for Boys, was held in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and the Ministry of Sports and Youth. It brought together approximately 400 students, aged between 13 and 17, representing both public and private schools across Qatar.
During the ceremony, HE NCSA President Eng. Al Maliki honored the Agency's partners, expert speakers, winners of the Consultation Corner competition, and teams behind the best project submissions.
The camp is part of the National Cyber Security Academy's broader efforts to empower youth and cultivate a highly skilled and digitally aware generation in line with Qatar National Vision 2030, which emphasizes human capital development and the advancement of digital capabilities.
On this occasion, Assistant Director of the Cybersecurity Policies and Strategies Department at NCSA, Dalal Al Oqeidi highlighted the camp's intensive training program. Participants received both theoretical and hands-on training in fundamental and advanced cybersecurity topics, including web fundamentals, attack analysis, networks, systems, cyber defense, and ethical hacking.
She stated: "The camp focused on transforming theoretical knowledge into innovative, practical solutions that address real -world digital challenges. This approach helped reinforce technical concepts and enhance participants' analytical thinking." She also emphasized that NCSA aimed to offer a holistic experience combining theoretical and practical learning with a variety of engaging recreational activities, designed to foster team spirit, refresh energy, and create a safe and stimulating learning environment, ultimately encouraging collaboration and camaraderie among participants.
Director of Schools and Student Affairs at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Maryam Ali Al Nisf Al Buainain expressed her pride in the fruitful partnership with NCSA in organizing the second edition of the Summer Cybersecurity Youth Camp.
She noted: "Such initiatives play a vital role in preparing a digitally aware generation equipped with modern technological skills. This collaboration reflects the Ministry's commitment to expanding student activities during the summer to include advanced scientific fields such as cybersecurity, a key pillar in building a secure digital society."
She added that the camp succeeded in raising students' awareness of digital safety and responsible internet use, while offering specialized training aligned with their future aspirations and fostering both their technical and leadership skills.
"We believe that building a digitally conscious generation starts in the classroom. This partnership marks an important step in that direction, and we look forward to expanding our cooperation with national stakeholders to broaden the impact of such initiatives across the country," she concluded.
The camp also featured a series of panel discussions with leading cybersecurity and education experts. These sessions offered participants valuable insights into digital protection strategies, practical career advice, and inspirational real-life stories that left a positive impact on the students and boosted their confidence in their own abilities.
