Doha, May 19 (QNA) - Al Duhail was crowned champion of the Qatar Handball Cup for the 2024-2025 season, after defeating Al Arabi 30-26 in the final match held on Monday at Al Duhail Sports Hall.

This is the third time Al Duhail have won the title, following the 2017-2018 and 2019-2020 seasons, while Al Arabi failed to secure their third title in the tournament.

Al Duhail deserved the victory, having been the better side for most of the match.

They finished the first half leading 16-11 before continuing their dominance in the second half and clinching the victory by a margin of four goals.

After the match, HE First Vice President of the Qatar Olympic Committee Mohammed bin Yousef Al Mana, and President of the Qatar Handball Federation Ahmed Mohammed Al Shaabi awarded Al Duhail the championship cup and gold medals, and presented Al Arabi with the silver medals.

Al Duhail qualified for the final match after defeating Al Rayyan 23-21 in the semi-final, while Al Arabi qualified after defeating Al Ahli 31-26 in the second match of the same round. (QNA)
