Qatar Table Tennis Association President to QNA: Doha 2025 World Championships Will Be Remembered in History

Doha, May 18 (QNA) - Khalil bin Ahmed Al Mohannadi, President of the Qatar Table Tennis Association and the Arab and Asian Federations, as well as First Vice President of the International Table Tennis Federation and General Director of the ITTF World Table Tennis Championships - Doha 2025, emphasized that the tournament's opening ceremony was exceptional. He stated that it reflects Qatar's ambition to host an outstanding edition, worthy of the country's leading global stature, and will remain a memorable milestone in the nearly 100-year history of world table tennis championships.

Speaking to the Qatar News Agency (QNA), Al Mohannadi expressed pride in Qatar hosting the World Table Tennis Championship for the second time, highlighting the nation's state-of-the-art infrastructure, world-class venues, and comprehensive facilities that guarantee top-tier organization and execution. He assured fans and participants that the event would be remarkable from start to finish.

He extended his thanks to HE President of the Qatar Olympic Committee, Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani, for his significant support, which played a crucial role in ensuring the championship's success. He also thanked the officials who attended the opening ceremony and commended the dedication and commitment of all organizing committee members, whose efforts contributed to a prestigious and well-executed event befitting Qatar's reputation.

He pointed out that the opening ceremony stood out at all levels, incorporating cultural performances that highlighted Qatari heritage and reinforced the power of sports in fostering unity and understanding between nations.

Regarding the benefits for Qatari table tennis, Al Mohannadi noted that hosting the championship will bring immense advantages, particularly in enhancing the expertise of Qatari professionals, which will add long-term value to the sport's development.

He concluded by reaffirming the organizing committee's commitment to delivering an exceptional edition of the World Table Tennis Championship, ensuring it meets the highest standards at all levels. (QNA)
