Doha, December 01 (QNA) - Al Arabi and Qatar SC clubs will participate for the first time in the 2025 West Asia Women's Volleyball Club Championship, which will be held in Kuwait from December 2-14.

Qatar SC is scheduled to begin its tournament campaign against Al-Ula of Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, while Al Arabi will kick off its campaign against UAE's Sharjah on the same day.

This marks the first time Qatari teams have participated in this championship, reflecting the Qatar Volleyball Association's commitment to supporting and developing women's sports and enhancing the presence of Qatari women in international competitions. This aligns with the Association's strategic plans to broaden participation and raise the level of the game both locally and internationally.

Al Arabi enters the tournament after a successful season in which it finished second in the Women's General League for the 2024-2025 season with 24 points, in addition to achieving third place in the inaugural edition of the Women's Open Volleyball Championship for the 2023-2024 season.

Qatar SC is competing in the West Asian Women's Volleyball Club Championship after finishing third in the 2024-2025 Women's Volleyball League with 17 points.

Both teams are aiming to deliver a strong performance befitting the reputation of Qatari volleyball and achieve positive results that reflect the significant work invested in developing women's teams over the past years. (QNA)
