Kuwait, October 08 (QNA) - The State of Qatar participated in the meeting of Their Excellencies the undersecretaries of culture ministries in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states, held Wednesday in Kuwait, in preparation for the meeting of Their Highnesses and Excellencies, the GCC ministers of culture, set to take place Thursday.

Qatar's delegation to the meeting was headed by HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Dr. Ghanem bin Mubarak Al Ali.

The meeting began with an address by the presiding country, delivered by Secretary-General of the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL) of the State of Kuwait Mohammad Khaled Al Jassar. In his speech, he welcomed the participating Gulf delegations and emphasized the importance of joint Gulf cultural work.

HE Assistant Secretary-General for Economic and Development Affairs at the GCC General Secretariat, Khalid bin Ali Al Sunaidi, reviewed the meeting agenda, which included several joint cultural and artistic items.

At the conclusion of the meeting, a set of recommendations was adopted that will be submitted to the meeting of Their Highnesses and Excellencies, GCC ministers of culture scheduled for tomorrow for review and formal adoption. (QNA)
